Depart PDX at 1:30 pm |
Flight is 10 hours PDX to AMS |
May 3 – Sunday |
Arrive AMS at 8:30 am - Take train to Central (about 18 minutes), walk to apartment (1 mile, 20 minutes). |
Met Candyce & Eric for lunch at a restaurant in a street market, then went to a wine bar. |
May 4 – Monday |
Van Gogh Museum in the morning at 9am |
Canal boat tour in afternoon then picked up food and wine and went back to our apartment with Candy and Eric. |
May 5 – Tuesday |
Visit Keukenhof | Have tickets including transportation |
Took tram 24 south to the end then walked to tram #4 to head back to Centraal. |
May 6 – Wednesday |
Took train trip to Delft |
On the way back, stopped in Leiden and walked around that town. Met Candy & Eric for dinner at an Italian restaurant |
May 7 – Thursday |
Met Mark and Cyndy for breakfast. Then went to the Amsterdam Museum |
Went to Albert Cuypstraat market, has stroopwafel. Went to the Eye Museum for lunch. Then took tram #26 east to the end of the line. |
May 8 – Friday |
Stedelijk Museum - opens at 10 |
Went to a small cafe for lunch on the canal. Then found the tiramisu shop. Then took tram #14 east to the end of the line at Flevopark and tram #7 back to the west side. |
May 9 – Saturday |
Train to north to Horn and Enkuizen |
Zuider Zee Museum |
May 10 – Sunday |
Bus trip north to Marken, Monnickendam. Boat to Volendam the bus to Edam |

Rijksmuseum - opens at 9am |
