Chicago River Museum and McCormick Bridgehouse

The Chicago River runs through downtown Chicago and numerous bridges cross it. All the bridges are lift bridges that can be opened to allow tall boats to pass and the mechanisms go back a hundred years. This museum shows one of these and explains the 100-year history.
