Wet and rainy for our day in Sitka but we enjoyed it nonetheless. Since there is no port, we anchor off shore and board one of the life rafts to get to shore. We walked the town, saw several totem poles and then walked through a wooded area to the Alaska Raptor Center, a facility that treats, rehabilitates, and returns to the wild some 200 injured birds a year. We saw several bald eagles, owls, and hawks learning flight skills again.
