We travelled 1401 miles over the 10 days we were in Texas. We landed in Dallas, visited the Urban Reserve that evening (a development of modern residences), drove to our resort in New Braumfels the next day. Between Austin and San Antonio, this was our and Beverly and Kevin's base for the next few days.

We visited Austin and San Antonio and the hill country over the next 5 days. Toured the University of Texas campus in Austin, the Capitol building, and SoCo (South Congress Street) in Austin. In San Antonio we walked the River Walk and visted three missions.

Then we headed off the Galveston, stayed on the beach, and toured historic areas of Galveston. We drove through Houston on our way back to Dallas. Stayed at the Hyatt at Reunion Tower so we could walk the downtown, arts, and restaurant area as well as ride the free historic McKinney Ave trolley.
