- Moved by Diane Mattson and seconded by Mary Marek-Johnson to increase membership to 80 RDH's. We would give any open slots to those on the waiting list first.
- This changes Article III Organization:
- Section 1 Membership: The membership number will be limited to 80 Registered Dental Hygienists.

- Moved and seconded to eliminate the June dinner meeting, by Joyce Rankin and Diane Mattson, which reverts elections back to May.
- Moved and seconded to make the election of officers would be done in May of each year. Changes written below.
- By Laws Section II Election of Officers second sentence to read:
- Election of new officers will be in May each year for the following year by a simple majority vote of the membership.

- Moved by Diane Mattson and seconded by Meredith Stiger to remove the clause "all remaining funds to Oregon Dental Hygiene Scholarship Fund.
- Article VII, Section 2 remove reference to the Dental Hygiene Scholarship Fund.
- Moved and seconded and voted to clarify meeting dates.
- Article V Meetings to read:
- Meetings of this study club will be held monthly, September through May, excluding December, on the fourth Monday of each month unless notified otherwise.
- Moved and seconded by Joyce Rankin and Meredith Stiger to amend the By Laws to continue to elect officers each June.
- The By Laws Section II Election of officers second sentence changed to:
- Election of new officers will be in June of each year for the following year by a simple majority vote of the membership.
- Moved and seconded by members to increase membership to 70 members.
- This changes Article III Organization:
- Section 1 Membership: Add a sentence to read: The membership number will be limited to 70 Registered Dental Hygienists.

- Ruling moved and seconded by members to: add a $20 drop in fee for RDH's for regular classes and $25 for CPR class. This also gives them CE credit hours. This adds a sentence to constitution.
- Article VI Dues Section 1 to add a sentence:
- Drop in fees for attending the regular classes will be $20 each class and $25 for each CPR class.
- Ruling under new members and dues to include:
- No student hygienists (this is already in constitution) Membership dues from previous years members to be paid by first meeting plus one week or they loose membership. This adds a sentence to the constitution.
- Article VI Dues: adds sentences to read:
- All membership dues from previous year members to be paid by first meeting plus one week or their membership is forfeited. New membership will be offered first to those on the waiting list.

- Moved, seconded, and voted to increase annual dues to $50 for 1999-2000.
- Article VI Dues Section 1: Added a first sentence to read: The annual dues will be $50 per year unless changed by a vote of the membership.
- Moved, seconded and voted that any full year dues paying member will carry a vote during the year.
- Article III Organization: Section 1 Membership: Add a sentence 2 to read: Each yearly dues paying member will carry a vote during the year.

- Article VI Section 1: Removed sentences 1 and 2 in reference to dues. Sentence 3 to read: The dues of this study club shall be sufficient to pay the speaker and needed facilities. Section 2 remains.
- Article III: Organization Section 1 Membership: The reference to number of hygienists to be eliminated, and sentences combined to read:
- The membership of this study club shall consist of Registered Dental Hygienists, without regard to race, religion or sex.
- Section 2 and 3 remain.

- Moved and seconded that the By Laws Section 1 Job Description of Officers name "chairperson" be changed to "President". To elect a President and Co-President each year, and the Co-President would replace the words rotating recording secretary.
- By Laws Section I Job Description of Officers changes to read:
- President: The duties of the President shall be to organize speakers and facilities for each meeting and to conduct each meeting.
- Replace the office of rotating recording secretary with Co-President. Change the first sentence to read: The Co-President would act as a recording secretary whose duties shall be to record information at each meeting involving business and speakers.
- By Laws Section II Election of Officers changed to:
- Elected officers are the President, Co-President, and the Treasurer. New officers will be elected by a simple majority vote each May for the following year.
- Amend Article IV Officers to read:
- Elected officers are the President, Co-President, and the Treasurer; whose duties will be established in Section 1 of the By Laws.
