Gum Gardeners Study Group

The Gum Gardeners Study Club was founded in 1978 by a small group of Dental Hygienists on the west side of Portland. The concept was new and we were one of the first Dental Hygiene study clubs formed in our area. Some of our spouses and other experts helped us become a 501(c) 3, non-profit study club, exclusively for licensed Dental Hygienists in Oregon. Our purpose has been to further our education in the field of Dental Hygiene, offering courses that meet the licensure requirements of the State of Oregon Board of Dental Examiners. This generally allows us enough credit hours each year to meet our licensure requirements. Several of the first, founding members are current members of the club.
