Paris - Day Three - Chateau de Versailles

Our destination was Versailles. We were up early, took a train 30 min to Versailles and were there before 9am. Now there is just too much to say about this place. I kept wondering how it probably compared to the Bush complexes in Texas. It was huge, beautiful and over the top!!!

The Mansion was heavy with pomp and stuffy. There were areas I had not even heard about! I had known nothing about the Grand Trianon and the Petit Trianon nor the little village kept as a hobby!! The Grand Canals I recognized from a painting! I had no idea!!!! And to think there are CEO’s in America who are probably living like this today! Well, enough politics. I have trouble with war and greed, both now and then. (Wayne was just glad to see the church out of it for once.) A much needed stop at our street side table, more bread, cheese and wine. It is tough but if not us who! If not now, when! Ya da yada yada….
